MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND May 27-28, 07

Memorial Day weekend and this year has a much deeper meaning for us and many other families.  We will be remembering our fallen heros and giving thanks to the Lord. We will be privileged to have our Chaplain Joe Riley back from Iraq just in time for the service.

Recently we came across a note that our fallen SGT Gabriel De Roo had written in a book on military quotes.  “The more (America) one is blessed, he more is asked of him.”  He gave the ultimate sacrifice on Aug. 20, 2006 in Iraq.  This captures the reason why we honor those who have fallen and thank God for the freedoms He has given us. Service on Sunday morning will focus on this.  Here are some of the events of Monday.  “The more (America) one is blessed, he more is asked of him.” p. 17
