BAPTISM DAY AT DISCOVERY

Baptism is the first thing every believer is commanded to do after coming to saving faith in Christ (Mat. 28:19-20; Acts 2:38). Baptism symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (Rom. 6), the cleansing of sin and the believer's faith in what Christ did to save them. Sunday Nov. 25th was a day to witness ten people taking that step of obedience at Discovery. Each gave a short testimony of how they came to trust Christ as their savior before being immersed. Following the service they were greeted by the flock in a special reception.
