Daron & Yunae Wilson

Chaing Mai, Thailand (ABWE

Daron and Yunae are missionaries sent under the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism, and their burden is for the Body of Christ in Southeast Asia. They believe that God has called them to join His work in this part of the world by partnering with local churches in the training of men and women for ministry. They will be helping to equip national Christian leaders for the task of multiplying healthy, gospel-preaching churches all across Southeast Asia.

Their personal histories are quite different. Daron was saved at a young age in a godly Christian home. His early years were spent in a small farming community in Alberta, Canada, before moving with his family to a small logging community in northwestern Montana. Yunae was born in South Korea, and moved to the US at an early age, finally ending up in the busy Puget Sound area. She grew up apart from any Christian influence in her home, and she did not come to know the Lord until the age of 24.

Despite the vast spiritual and geographical differences of their formative years, God had a life planned for them together, and He began their relationship at Northwest Baptist Seminary in Tacoma, WA. He used the time there to develop their spiritual lives in very powerful ways, giving them a vision for the work He has called them to and preparing their hearts for His service.

They were married in 1999 after Daron’s graduation from Seminary, and since then, God has blessed them with two wonderful daughters.

Their family is currently in the prefield ministry stage, raising the support necessary to begin work in Southeast Asia full time. Their prayer is to remain faithful to the work God has for them.
