MOTHERS AND HEALING WORDS

I’m wearing the “Hero Mother” medal from Soviet Union days when mothers were encouraged to have more children by being awarded special medals. Mark (my husband) thought I should have this coveted award.

What a wonderful day of celebration has just passed for all of us mothers. I am sharing with you a wonderful article that I hope will be an encouragement to every mom.

Mothers perhaps have more opportunity than most other people to refine the words we speak because of the varied situations we face every day. However, “having opportunities” and “taking opportunities” can have two completely different results. Without God’s wisdom filling and ruling our souls we easily miss our chances to grow in refining the words we speak so that they are helpful, truthful, and God honoring.

“There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.” Proverbs 12:18 “What did you say yesterday that brought healing? that pierced like a sword?” Kathleen Nielson

Won’t you plan to join us this Thursday morning as we encourage one another from the book of Proverbs to use our tongue in a manner that brings glory to God with everyone in our life.
