Seniors Ministry

For ages 55 and up (or younger folk who feel like they're 55)

We may be closer to our finish line than we are our birth day, but we're still running with all we've got! Come join us as we study the Word, pray, support each other, fellowship, and serve the Lord!

Leaders:  Jerry & Jo Cudney
Assistants:  Karman & Kate Storset

Gig Harbor South SALT Group

Sunday evenings during the school year, 6:15pm

For whatever reason, a number of us seem drawn to the Gig Harbor SALT group on Sunday nights. Feel free to join any of the SALT groups, but if you're looking to open the Word with like-minded (and like-age) folk, you might give the Gig Harbor group a visit. See SALT Groups page for more info.

quarterly fellowships

About once a quarter, we meet together as a large group for fellowship and spiritual encouragement. See our Community Seniors page and church calendar for upcoming events.

(TENTATIVE) Silver Servants Brown Bag Luncheon

First ___ of each month @ noon (except July/Aug), Fireside Room

This is a wonderful way to get to know others in the church. Bring a lunch and leave it in the fridge/kitchen (with your name on it). We'll enjoy some fellowship and a meal together right after we feast on the Word of God in the morning service!

(TENTATIVE) Breakfast at Kelly's Cafe

Second ___ of each month, 9:00am

Whether you grab a bite to eat or just a cup of coffee, we'll savor the opportunity to enjoy each other's friendship. Someone will also share a simple but meaningful 5- to 10-minute word of encouragement from the Scripture. And if the sun is shining warmly, we may even stroll the waterfront for a bit afterward. Hope to see you there!
Directions: Head straight down Wollochet/Pioneer toward the waterfront. Cafe is on the left at the bottom of the hill. Click here for map.

(TENTATIVE) care groups

Groups of 3-4 individuals/couples

A big part of Christian community is knowing that we care for one another. (Gal. 6:10, "So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.") To that end, we divide ourselves up into small "care groups" - a few people who look out for each other on Sundays. If you miss a service or two, they'll check in on you. (These groups do not replace SALT groups. They supplement them by making sure we seniors are keeping an eye out for each other.)

online Community

If you'd like to be on our e-mailing list, join the Seniors group under "Ministries" on the Community! This is also where you can find pictures of recent events, see names and faces of those in our group, and more!
