Zachary & Liesl Travis
Deacon - IT
Zac was born and raised in the Port Orchard area. He believed in and accepted Christ into his heart at a young age, but didn't begin to pursue a relationship with the Lord until his late teenage years at a youth camp where he was convicted of a lack of direction in his life.
Liesl had the privilege of being raised in Discovery Baptist Church, with both her parents being heavily involved in the church. She asked Christ into her heart at about 5 years old, but it wasn't until she was about 14 that her faith became personal.
Zac and Liesl met at Discovery Baptist Church when Zac started attending with his family in 2016. They became friends and eventually got married in 2021. Taking after the example of their parents, they are both very involved in the church. Zac leads the tech team, Liesl serves on the music team, and together they teach the Trek group at AWANA, among other things.
They live on the family farm in Olalla and enjoy taking care of the animals there. Zac is a system administrator at the shipyard and Liesl works as a teacher for Child Evangelism Fellowship, and a homeschool co-op. They both love to play games as well as explore the outdoors whenever they can, usually by hiking and camping.
