PERU (ABWE)
Aleece grew up in the beautiful PNW and trusted in Jesus as her Savior at a young age. Through developing a person walk with the Lord she grew in her faith and believed God was calling her to missions as a young girl. Dave was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. He also trusted in Christ for salvation at a young age. He realized his calling to missions during a short-term missions trip to West Africa where he witnessed first-hand the desperate need overseas for pastors to receive biblical education.
Dave and Aleece met in college and as they got to know each other they discovered they had a shared calling to missions. Although they did not know where God was calling them, they knew he would use their past experiences, gifts, and weaknesses for His purposes.
Dave and Aleece were married in 2008. In their first year of marriage Dave completed his seminary training and began fulltime ministry in Ontario. There they received nearly a decade of ministry experience while starting a family and continuing training in preparation to serve the Lord on the mission field.
In 2017 they resigned from pastoral ministry and began raising support to work with ABWE in Lima, Peru. There Dave will use his gift of teaching for biblical education and leadership development. Aleece will be involved with Bible teaching also, as well as Biblical counseling at a crisis pregnancy center. Their story is not a unique one, because the Lord uses all of His people for His purposes and plans.
